A delight to use
First off: the tub is beautifully made. The photo online doesn’t do it justice, but the glossy, creamy, semi-opaque blue with the matte silver top is lovely on any shelf. I tend to dislike the boring navy-and-white packaging of Clear Skin products, but this is adorable.
It smells exactly like a mild, not overly sweet lemon custard. You only get a whiff of scent as you apply, though, so if you don’t like lemon custard it shouldn’t be a problem. The texture is smooth and creamy. Unlike most moisturizers, you don’t need to apply a layer over your skin: take just a teeny amount (a quarter pea) and rub it in. It is very effective at moisturizing (probably because of the cocoa butter) and a little goes a long way.
No immediate results for me, but after 2 weeks of using this along with the Pure Pore Toner, my acne cleared completely. Can’t remember the last time I had a zit! The serum, I think, isn’t that much stronger than the toner, but the toner is very effective. The toner is not a high source of salicylic acid but it does have witch hazel (it’s not drying - it’s balanced out with aloe and glycerin), camphor oil, the like.
I believe this, with the toner, is a must for all acne sufferers. The duo considerably reduces oil and clears congested pores.
